Don’t stress. Simply follow the steps below to keep your Bellami hair extensions looking great and lasting long!
Caring for Your Bellami Extensions
Your Bellami hair extensions are made from 100% cuticle intact human hair. Because they are made of real hair, you should treat them as if they are an extension of your own hair. Here are some tips to follow.
Brushing
Just as you detangle your own hair, you want to make sure to detangle your Bellami hair extensions. Before and after each use, gently brush your extensions with a soft bristle brush. Don’t tug. Start at the ends and slowly work your way up through any knots or tangles. This will help prevent breakage. You may want to try to work out any tangles with your fingers before moving to a brush or comb, which will put less stress on the hair.
Washing
Brush your extensions before washing. To clean your Bellami hair extensions, fill up your sik with lukewarm water. Holding the extension by the clip, carefully dip the extension in the water taking care not to get the clip wet. Gently wash the hair of the extension in lukewarm water using a small amount of sulfate free shampoo. Don’t scrub, but lather the extension. Rinse out the shampoo, then apply a hydrating conditioner. Rinse again. Hang or lay the extension out and let it air dry.
Wet Hair Care
Remember, your extensions are made of real hair. So they are prone to damage when wet. To protect the extensions, do not comb or brush through them while they are wet. Let them completely dry before combing/brushing or using any styling tools on them.
Heat Protection
Just as you want to protect your own hair from heat damage, you need to do the same with your extensions. Always apply a heat protecting spray before using a curling or flat iron. If using a styling tool, try to use a ceramic one which is less damaging.
Remove Before Sleeping
To protect your extensions and extend their life, we recommend removing your Bellami hair extensions before going to sleep.
Storage
Proper storage will help keep your extensions from getting tangled. Place them flat in a dry place. The Bellami Hair Extension Carrier can provide extra protection.
